Utility assessment is not just a study, it helps you identify the immediate needs of your utility infrastructure early and provides you with the prioritization and justification needed to obtain funding and to execute a successful and beneficial upgrade, renovation and/or complete system replacement.
Utility assessments begin with a visual inspection of the campus utility infrastructure systems. Each component is evaluated on its intended function, current condition and any distress that could impact reliability and safety. Evaluation tables are developed to identify and rank maintenance priorities for necessary repairs and replacement. The maintenance tasks are identified by stations and mapped out on a general arrangement drawing for equipment location. Conceptual estimates of probable construction costs are developed to assist with budgeting and aid with funding requests. The cost for each repair or replacement is estimated, and is broken into groups based on the estimated year when components will need to be replaced to aide in budgeting and funding request.
From electrical and water systems to mechanical and HVAC systems, a utility assessment is designed to help you maintain your infrastructure and prepare for future growth needs.
