Several Aspects of Mississippi River NESP Project

Working in joint venture with INCA Engineers, Stanley Consultants provided structural and geotechnical engineering, three-dimensional modeling, and project management support related to the Mississippi River Navigation Ecosystem Sustainability Program. There were several aspects to this large program.  Task orders include:

  • Guidewall beam design for lock extension
  • Lock concept validation / concept development
  • Typical lock wall monoliths designs for locks
  • Downstream bulkhead sill concept development study (Lock #22 only)
  • Lock wall monolith transition to existing walls
  • Lock wall monoliths designs; wall without culvert
  • Structural / mechanical modeling to develop BIM (Lock & Dam #22 only)
  • Mass concrete design plan
  • Approach walls design and report (Lock #25 only)
  • Dewatering struts and culvert extension
  • Design of selected monoliths
  • Design document report (DDR)
  • Seismic analysis and DDR structural portions
  • Civil site design DDR (Lock #25 only)
