Providing Additional Water for Eagle Mountain City
Stanley Consultants was selected by one of the fastest growing cities in Utah, Eagle Mountain City, to provide preliminary engineering, final design, and construction services for new and upgraded well pump station houses to meet the additional water demand.
The capacity of the well pump houses range from 1,000 gpm to 3,000 gpm. Design included modeling a portion of the city's water system hydraulics to determine pumping requirements, design pumps and motors, discharge piping and controls, and connection to the existing system. Line shaft vertical turbine pumps, with motor power requirements ranging from 350 horsepower to 600 horsepower, were used.
Final plans and specifications including a gas chlorination system, civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and landscaping design for the two new well pump houses were provided. The existing well pump houses were modified to include gas chlorination, upgraded pumping capacity, new building and electrical, and existing blow-offs were reconstructed.
