Harris Named Chair of Stanley Consultants

May 18, 2017

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Stanley Consultants announced today that Kate Harris has been elected Chair of the Board of the global consulting engineering firm. She steps into the position previously held by Gayle Roberts, who recently retired from a long and distinguished career with the firm.

Harris, who has over 25 years of international experience in the construction, engineering and consulting industry, joined Stanley Consultants as president and CEO in 2017. Under her leadership the company has improved on its record of success, recently meeting or outperforming key sales, revenue and profitability metrics.

“It has been a true pleasure to come into a company that wants to be the best in the best way,” said Harris. “Stanley Consultants has a deep and proud legacy of exceptional client and delivery service with values at the heart of who we are and how we operate.”

In other actions, Stanley Consultants’ Board of Directors concluded that the company’s governance model would be enhanced by appointing an independent Lead Director. Bob Uhler, an outside director for the last two years, has agreed to serve in this role at the will of the Board and shareholder election. Uhler is a seasoned CEO, the chairman of several larger companies and a Leadership Fellow in the National Association of Corporate Directors.
