Stanley Consultants Acquires TEDS, Florida Transportation Engineering Firm

May 3, 2022

Broomfield, Colo. – Global consulting engineering firm Stanley Consultants announced today that it has acquired Traffic Engineering Data Solutions, Inc. (TEDS), more than tripling its presence in Florida and significantly broadening its transportation talent and services across the U.S. In alignment with its strategic plan, the combined business cements Stanley’s position as a leader in transportation planning, design, engineering, data collection and analytics, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS), creating additional market growth opportunities and exposure to U.S. infrastructure and stimulus funding.

“The timing could not be better to welcome TEDS to Stanley Consultants,” said Kate Harris, Stanley Consultants president, CEO and chair of the board. “TEDS’ proven capabilities and geographical presence are complementary to Stanley Consultant’s services and footprint, our values and cultures are fully aligned, and we are jointly dedicated to improving the lives of our customers, communities and coworkers. Stronger together, we remain committed to delivering outstanding value to our transportation clients, who will benefit from additional talent, expertise, and creative problem-solving skills. In welcoming TEDS, Stanley is now even better positioned to deliver on our vision and promise of a sustainable, connected and enriched world.”

"We realized from the beginning the power of creating a people-centric organization that values the happiness of our clients and our employees above the bottom line," TEDS President Deanna Ferrell said. "What attracted us to Stanley Consultants was their commitment to ‘Doing the Right Thing in the Right Way, Every Time.’ Our shared vision unites talented individuals with cultures that are client- and employee-centered and dedicated to a focused achievement of strategic growth for the transportation market."

Stanley Consultants is pleased to have worked with The Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG), who initiated this transaction and served as Stanley’s financial advisor.
