Megan Dusing has received her Professional Wetland Scientist Certification from the Society of Wetland Scientists, an international organization of wetland professionals dedicated to fostering sound wetland science, education, and management. This certification signals that Dusing’s academic and work experience meet the standards expected of a practicing wetland professional and that she adheres to the standards of professional ethics in regard to the conduct and practice of wetland science.
Dusing is a senior environmental scientist at Stanley Consultants, a worldwide provider of engineering, environmental and construction services. She performs regulatory compliance and permitting work including wetland delineation and corresponding regulatory permit compliance, as well as threatened and endangered species screening and abatement. She is skilled in creating prevention plans for air pollution, storm water pollution, oil spills and water/wastewater discharge.
Dusing earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology: environmental emphasis from the University of Northern Iowa and has been with the company for 16 years. In addition to the Society of Wetland Scientists, she is a member of the Iowa Wind Energy Association, and the Society for Ecological Restoration.
