Each year Stanley Consultants awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are dependents of employees at all office locations throughout the country. This year scholarships have been awarded to Rachel Schoer, Jared Weikel, Thomas Schneider, Jacob Henrie, and Joshua Montoya.
Rachel Schoer, daughter of Brian and Traci Schoer, is a graduate of Muscatine High School. She will attend Iowa State University and major in Agricultural Engineering. Brian is the Power Delivery Market Technology & Innovation Leader / Distribution Group Manager in Stanley Consultants’ Muscatine office, and has been with the company since 1990.
Jared Weikel, son of Catherine and Brent Weikel, is a graduate of Muscatine High School. He will attend Purdue University and major in computer engineering. Katherine is a Principal Engineer in Stanley Consultants’ Muscatine office, and has been with the company since 1990.
Thomas Schneider, son of Paul and Katherine Schneider, is a graduate of Palatine High School. He will attend Harper College through the University of Illinois Pathways Engineering program and major in Mechanical Engineering. Paul is the Traffic / Transportation Planning Department Manager in Stanley Consultants’ Chicago office, and has been with the company since 2012.
Jacob Henrie, the son of Jason and Diana Henrie, is a graduate of Cottonwood High School in Murray, Utah. He plans to attend Brigham Young University and major in engineering after first completing two years of voluntary service in Samoa as a missionary. Jason is the Civil / Municipal Services Department Manager in the company’s Salt Lake City Office. He has been with Stanley Consultants since 1997.
Joshua Montoya, son of Martha and Michael Montoya, graduated from a classical homeschool education as well as attending a community college completing 24 college credits. He plans to attend Austin Community College before transferring into the University of Texas at Austin where he will major in Aerospace Engineering. Martha is an Associate Designer in the company’s Austin office. She has been with Stanley Consultants since 2015.
Scholarship selection is based on scholarship, character, financial need, leadership qualities, meaningful extracurricular activities, and academics. The $2,000 scholarships may be used for tuition and books at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university and are renewable for a second year based upon satisfactory academic standing.
