Stanley Consultants provided design and construction administration services to Arizona Public Energy Services for the construction of a Combined Heat and Power Plant at the Arizona State University Main Campus.

University of Illinois at Chicago Cogeneration Study and Design

The University of Illinois at Chicago wanted to explore cogeneration options for its West Side Campus. Stanley Consultants was contracted to perform a cogeneration feasibility study to investigate options to provide both steam and electricity to all of the facilities.

University of Illinois Abbott Power Plant Expansion and Rehabilitation

Stanley Consultants designed the University of Illinois cogeneration building to include load controls for all new generation equipment at the West Campus, as well as the four reciprocating engines with 20 MW of generation at East Campus. This allows the University to produce all of its required power, buy power, or sell power to the grid.

U.S. Veterans Affairs, Dallas Medical Center, CHP Plant

Stanley Consultants served as the design engineer of record for this design-build project for McCarthy Building Companies. The VA expanded the central energy facility to include cogeneration. The new installation adds a 4.5 MW recuperated gas turbine with a heat recovery steam generator. The gas turbine is sized to supply approximately half of the hospital complex normal electrical requirements.

Argonne National Laboratory CHP Plant

Stanley Consultants was contracted by Noresco to provide preliminary design and permit a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit at the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) steam plant in Argonne, Illinois.
