Stanley Consultants Named Finalist for Chamber Corporate Citizenship Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Chamber of Commerce Center for Corporate Citizenship (CCC) today announced the finalists for the 2005 Corporate Citizenship Awards. Stanley Consultants is a finalist in the Corporate Stewardship Small-Midsized Business Award. The awards acknowledge businesses and chambers of commerce that have demonstrated ethical leadership and corporate stewardship and have made a difference in their communities.

"These recipients are our nation’s pillars in advancing important social and economic goals for communities across the country," said Chamber Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Suzanne Clark. "They are the examples of corporate citizenship that too often go unrecognized."

The finalists for the awards in the following categories are:

  • Corporate Stewardship Small-/Midsized Business Award: Citizens Financial Group, Hi-Tec Systems, Inc., International Bank of Commerce, PAETEC Communications, SAP America, Inc., and Stanley Consultants.
  • Corporate Stewardship Large Business Award: General Electric, Safeway, SBC Communications, United Technologies, and UPS.
  • U.S. Community Service Award: Capital One, GlaxoSmithKline, Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce, Weyerhaeuser Company, and Xerox Corporation.
  • International Community Service Award: Alticor, Inc., CEMEX, DHL, International Paper, and the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
The winners will be announced on November 8 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue, Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, and Harvard business Professor Michael Porter will present the awards. The celebration will be held this year in conjunction with the U.S. Chamber Board of Directors dinner.
