Becknell appointed to National Transportation Committee
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Larry Becknell, vice president and senior transportation engineer for Stanley Consultants, has been appointed to the National Transportation Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
The nation’s largest engineering organization, ACEC represents more than 5,500 firms throughout the country. ACEC’s transportation committee monitors national transportation policies, issues and regulations. As a member of the committee, Becknell will assist in developing strategies and policies regarding national transportation issues while presenting ACEC’s positions to our national congressional leaders.
Becknell has been a member of ACEC since 1996. He is past president of ACEC’s Utah state chapter and a past National Director. He is also a past president of the American Public Works Association (APWA), past president of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) for the state of Utah, and past president of the Intermountain Section of ITE.
