Day Wins Award

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Chris Day, P.E., was recently awarded the 2008 Toulmin Medal by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) for his article titled, "Master Planning in the AOR." It was published in TME (The Military Engineer) magazine’s September-October 2008 issue.

The Toulmin Medal is awarded annually to a SAME member whose article, published in the SAME The Military Engineer magazine, contributes to the knowledge of military engineering or national security and/or publicized and preserved the accomplishments of engineers in their missions throughout the world. Articles are evaluated by a panel of judges based on the overall quality of the article, writing style, as well as use of strong examples, facts, and real-life scenarios.

Day is a Senior Transportation Engineer, Senior Project Manager, and Transportation Department Manager for Stanley Consultants. He joined the company in 1992.
