Austin Ramp Project

Members of our Austin office dedicated a Saturday in February to building a wheelchair ramp for a low-income disabled family.  This community service project was organized through The Texas Ramp Project.

Our members supplied the labor and The Texas Ramp Project supplied the building materials.  The group cut, drilled, assembled and screwed together the ramp in just six hours.

"We divided up tasks. Ken (Loontjer) and Jesse (Cabera) used the table saw and cut the wood to length.  The rest of us screwed together the forms and modules," said Operations Group Manager Randy Schrecengost.

"It was amazing what we were able to accomplish in just a few hours.  We're thinking of doing it again."
