DevoreJerry Stanley Stories

For Jerry Devore, the biggest change during his 41 years with Stanley Consultants involved a technology leap unprecedented in American history.

Devore was one of a team of five that led the CADD system startup in 1980. Other team members, still at Stanley Consultants as it enters its second century of business, include Dave Wright, Bob Hanson, and Noel Henneman. According to Devore, "None of us could spell 'computer' in those days, but we managed to get the CADD system up and running. Four CADD 'machines' were purchased and they filled a temperature-controlled room. I am not sure we realized the significance of the changes that were coming. Actually, I am sure we did not!"
