Several Aspects of Mississippi River NESP Project
Working in joint venture with INCA Engineers, Stanley Consultants provided structural and geotechnical engineering, three-dimensional modeling, and project management support related to the Mississippi River Navigation Ecosystem Sustainability Program. There were several aspects to this large program. Task orders include:
- Guidewall beam design for lock extension
- Lock concept validation / concept development
- Typical lock wall monoliths designs for locks
- Downstream bulkhead sill concept development study (Lock #22 only)
- Lock wall monolith transition to existing walls
- Lock wall monoliths designs; wall without culvert
- Structural / mechanical modeling to develop BIM (Lock & Dam #22 only)
- Mass concrete design plan
- Approach walls design and report (Lock #25 only)
- Dewatering struts and culvert extension
- Design of selected monoliths
- Design document report (DDR)
- Seismic analysis and DDR structural portions
- Civil site design DDR (Lock #25 only)
All work performed at Locks #22 and 25, unless noted.
