Stakeholder Input Vital to Project Success
The U.S. Army called on Stanley Consultants and its joint venture partners to master plan a new special operations forces range. This range provides training facilities that accommodate advanced weapons technology that enable soldiers to engage targets at greater distances. This contract to prepare an area development execution plan (ADEP) is being performed under a task order from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District.
The scope of work includes a company headquarters, sniper course, advanced reconnaissance, target analysis and exploitation techniques course and a precision targeting and crisis response training complex. The project delivery team began the planning process by gathering technical data and conducting interviews to better understand site conditions and stakeholder needs. A multi-day planning charrette workshop brought multiple parties together to develop and validate plan elements. The final deliverables from this effort will include an ADEP technical plan with project programming documents and cost estimates.
