Location:
U.S. Marine Corps Base - Kaneche, Hawaii
About the Project
Lessons learned performing a real property audit for U.S. Marine Corps Base
This project's scope included a 14-person field team to survey all 2,735 facilities, as well as pavements and utilities belonging to the U.S. Marine Corps in the Hawaiian Islands. To support performance of the survey and increase efficiency, Stanley Consultants developed tablet-based databases with real-time updates. The database mirrored the Internet Navy Facility Assets Data Store (iNFADS), which is the Navy’s facilities asset management system, and included all data elements required for the real property inventory checklist. Following client review and approval, all data was batch uploaded into iNFADS.
The project demonstrated our joint venture's ability to conduct space utilization analyses by surveying and assessing facilities, evaluating space use and unit allocations, assessing space authorizations using Department of Defense category code criteria and updating floor plans and real property records. The project was critical for the U.S. Marine Corps to achieve compliance with Federal Improvement and Audit Readiness mandates.
