Phoenix Office Volunteers at Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Phoenix Office planned on 10 volunteers going to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul on a month basis. Instead, 30 volunteers made of Phoenix members and their families came to kick off this volunteer event.
Mike Lopez shared that for the first evening, volunteer work included, “assisting in the family Dining Hall serving meals to families and working on the load docks, unloading and sorting donated items to be shipped to local thrift stores throughout the metropolitan area.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the poor and providing opportunities for others to serve since 1946.
