Resilient Analytics, a Stanley Consultants company, wins climate change adaptation award

May 14, 2024

Resilient Analytics was awarded a project merit honor in the climate change adapation and resilience category by the Climate Change Business Journal®. Resilient Analytics, in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), analyzed the impact of heat on campus and suggested changes that would make the campus more resilient.

The Climate Change Business Journal® recently presented its annual CCBJ Business Achievement Awards for outstanding business performance in 2023. Awards were determined by a committee of CCBJ staff and contributing editors.

The MIT analysis gathered climate projection data from 32 peer-reviewed climate models that were overlaid with a set of engineering based analysis modules. The result was a quantified vulnerability of heat on the campus community, a two-factor prioritization index and recommendations for prioritized next steps. With this information, MIT is working to implement action plans to form a nexus of climate resiliency at MIT. Recommendations to increase resiliency included installing high-efficiency heat pumps, planting more trees and installing solar power generation.
