Omaha – The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, named a joint venture between Stanley Consultants and Olsson to participate in a potential $20 million contract to assess the military's railroads and roadways at installations worldwide.
The USACE indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract was awarded to five partner teams, including Stanley Consultants-Olsson. Stanley Consultants will serve as the lead partner performing most of the roadway work while Kansas City-based Olsson will focus on military railroad assets. The work is scheduled to be performed over a 5-year period starting immediately, with task orders awarded for various capital projects.
“We look forward to supporting the Omaha USACE District now and in the future,” said John Hudson, client service manager for Stanley Consultants.
Experts from the firms will respond to contracts for design and evaluation services for railroads and roadways worldwide, including preparing design plans, setting specifications and performing design analysis. Roadway inspections will use PAVER Engineering Management Systems software that organizes and compiles asset information. Roadway services include site investigations, studies, load ratings, concept design and construction phase services.
