Al Dhafra Air Base Master Plan

Al Dhafra Air Base is a critical asset in support of the U.S. Central Command’s ongoing missions and activities in the Middle East and Africa. Twenty miles south of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates base is home to the UAE Air Force, U.S. Air Force’s 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and coalition forces. Stanley Consultants developed the master plan and 100 percent design of a $1.4 billion expansion and facility relocation to transition the U.S. part of the base from an expeditionary installation into an enduring one. In all, 168 buildings and structures are proposed for the expansion. Stanley Consultants produced a conceptual plan, cost estimates, a time-phased design and construction schedule, planning and programming documents and a 3D brochure vision plan using building information management (BIM) technology.
