Colorado Springs Utilities 3-year program management

Colorado Springs Utilities needed to make a series of improvements and repairs to its power generation system so that its fleet could operate more efficiently and cleanly. The utility compiled a list of 48 projects that would help attain those goals and sought a plan to decide when and how to implement the program over a planned 3-year period. The utility engaged Stanley Consultants to develop project plans in support of the commencement phase of the program. Stanley Consultants’ collaborative program approach helped the utility develop detailed project planning documents for the 48 projects. Throughout the development and approval of these detailed project plans, Stanley Consultants followed the project safety plan, schedule, quality plan, communications plan and execution plan prepared specifically to meet the project’s milestone dates. Stanley worked closely with project sponsors and project managers to provide consistency across the 48 final project plans submitted.
