Former IDOT transportation manager bolsters Chicago office of Stanley Consultants

Kibble_Catherine_HR.jpgTransportation pro Catherine Kibble will spearhead projects for consulting engineering firm Stanley Consultants in its Chicago office, effective early September 2021. As senior project manager for the Chicago transportation group, Kibble will manage large projects and help her team develop the technical skills and gain a better understanding of how to effectively deliver transportation projects for Illinois and regional clients.

A former section chief and expressway unit leader for the Bureau of Design and squad leader for the Bureau of Programming at the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Kibble offers over 35 years of experience and knowledge of policies, standards and IDOT requirements. She combines technical knowledge, project management, leadership, communication, creativity and critical thinking in contributing to successful transportation projects and programs.

As IDOT section chief, Kibble was accountable for an average of 25 contracts sent to bid per year for major roadway construction projects in the Chicago area. The total annual construction costs of the contracts ranged from $260- to $430 million.

Kibble played significant engineering roles in numerous marquee Illinois transportation projects, including the Central Tri-State Tollway Reconstruction, the Jane Byrne Circle Interchange, the I-294/I-80/I-94 & IL 394 System Interchange, I-190 Reconstruction from O’Hare Airport to Cumberland Avenue and the Millburn Bypass in Lake County.
