Klopp_Josh_HR.jpgDenver – Josh Klopp has joined the Minneapolis office of Stanley Consultants to expand the firm’s presence in the Upper Midwest. Klopp, a mechanical engineer by training, was most recently a business development manager for Wärtsilä North America, Inc. Stanley Consultants is a worldwide provider of engineering, environmental and construction services.

Klopp, who reports to energy business development lead Chad Daniel, is responsible for growing existing client relationships and developing new ones in Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin. Stanley Consultants’ energy, power and environmental market serves municipal and rural electric utility, industrial, military and higher education customers throughout the Upper Midwest.

He will work with client solutions in combined heat and power, industrial facility expansions and distribution, steam generation, hot and chilled water production and distribution, electric upgrades and additions, facilities mechanical electric and plumbing design, energy efficiency and condition assessments and associated studies and construction services support. He also has the capability of offering distributed energy studies and resources – such as fleet electrification and microgrid design – and other industrial services, such as water permitting and treatment solutions.

“In addition to our other services, Josh brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the energy and distributed energy world,” Daniel said.

“I want to represent Stanley to the best of my ability in my territory,” Klopp said. “One of the big drivers is many of the municipalities and coops I’ve talked with over the years did not have a regular engineering firm they worked with. To some extent that’s an underserved area. I enjoy collaborating with customers to help address their challenges and generation portfolio and planning needs. The power generation market is rapidly changing, and I believe Stanley is well-positioned to help our customers anticipate and adapt to change.”
