Gayle A. Roberts, P.E.

PHOTO-MEDIA-CENTER-LEADERSHIP-roberts_gayle.jpgMs. Roberts is Chair of Stanley Consultants.  She joined the firm in 1981.  With more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, Ms. Roberts' career path in consulting engineering has included positions as Business Leader, Project Manager, Resident Engineer, Industrial Market Leader and Business Development Manager.  In 2007, she was elected the fifth president in the company's history.


Ms. Roberts has a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University, and an M.B.A. from St. Ambrose University.  She is a licensed professional engineer in seven states and Puerto Rico.

Professional Affiliations

Ms. Roberts is a Board Member, and current President of the Iowa Council of Engineering Companies, a member of the University of Iowa College of Engineering Advisory Board, and a member of the Executive Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies Design Professionals Coalition.  She serves on the St. Ambrose University College Board of Trustees and is also a member of Rotary International. 


Ms. Roberts has received the Athena Award from The Women's Connection; Upward Mobility Award from the Society of Women Engineers; Professional Achievement Citation in Engineering (PACE) Award from the Iowa State University Alumni Association; Woman of Influence Award from the Corridor Business Journal; Voice of the Engineer Award from the Iowa Engineering Society; 50% Solution Award from the Iowa Women's Foundation; and the Large Company Innovation and Leadership Category of the Iowa Women of Innovation Award from the Technology Association of America.
