Schrecengost Receives ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award

DENVER, COLORADO - Randy Schrecengost, P.E., has been awarded a Distinguished Service Award from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Presented at the Society’s 2013 Annual Conference in Denver on June 22-27, the award is given to individuals who have served the Society faithfully and with distinction, and who have given freely of their time and talent on behalf of ASHRAE. The honor recognizes participation in chapter, regional and Society activities.  In April, Randy was honored with an ASHRAE Regional Award of Merit for Region IV.

Schrecengost is a licensed professional engineer, an ASHRAE-Certified Building Energy Assessment Professional, and Operations Manager for Stanley Consultants’ Austin Office.   Active in ASHRAE for many years, he currently serves as  Region VIII regional vice chair of the membership promotion committee, and as a member of the Historical, Professional Development and Society Programs Committees.   He also serves as the secretary of Technical Committee 8.10, Mechanical Dehumidification Equipment and Heat Pipes. While he is actively involved with ASHRAE, Schrecengost lists his most meaningful contribution as directing and mentoring young engineers.
