Scholarship Winners Announced

Each year Stanley Consultants awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are dependents of employees at all office locations throughout the country. This year scholarships have been awarded to Abigail Grothe, Jordan Kerr, Anne Stevenson, Lexy Wadsworth, and Katelyn Wagner. 

Abigail Grothe, daughter of Barry Christine Grothe, is a graduate of Muscatine High School.  She will attend Colorado State University to obtain dual degrees in biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering.  Barry is an Associate Designer in Stanley Consultants’ Muscatine office, and has been with the company since 2000.

Jordan Kerr, daughter of Bill and Kristin Crowell, is a graduate of Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colorado.   She will major in neuroscience and minor in in Arabic at Colorado State University.  Bill is the Substation Department Manager in Stanley Consultants’ Denver office, and joined the firm in 2014.

Anne Stevenson, daughter of Cindy and Kelly Stevenson, is a graduate of Linn-Mar in Marion, Iowa.  She will study Applied Statistics at Rochester Institute of Technology.  Cindy is an Environmental Engineer in Stanley Consultants’ Iowa City office, and has been with the firm since 2013.

Lexy Wadsworth, daughter of Todd and Ann Wadsworth and Lisa and Chuck Johnson, is a graduate of Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman, Iowa.  She will attend the University of Iowa as a pre-med student and also compete on the University’s gymnastics team.  Todd joined the firm in 2015, and is an Electrical Engineer in the company’s Muscatine office.

Katelyn Wagner, daughter of Mak and Lea Wagner, graduated from Muscatine High School.  She plans to attend Iowa State University where she will major in chemical engineering and minor in biomedical engineering.   Mak is Chief Electrical Engineer in the company’s Muscatine Office.  He started with the firm in 2001.

Scholarship selection is based on scholarship, character, financial need, leadership qualities, meaningful extracurricular activities, and academics.  The $2,000 scholarships may be used for tuition and books at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university and are renewable for a second year based upon satisfactory academic standing.
