Tiedemann, AICP, Promoted to Project Principal

Melissa Edsill Tiedemann.jpgMelissa Edsill Tiedemann,  a senior environmental planner with Stanley Consultants, has been promoted to project principal.  In this role she is responsible for business development, client relations, and project oversight for industrial environmental clients.  Stanley Consultants is a global consulting engineering firm with Iowa offices in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Muscatine, and Des Moines.

Tiedemann, a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), has 15 years of experience in professional urban planning, economic development, and brownfields redevelopment.   Since joining Stanley Consultants in 2007, she has been instrumental in researching, obtaining and implementing environmental and development funding opportunities for private and municipal clients.

She is a member of the American Planning Association and serves as treasurer of the Iowa Chapter.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Northern Iowa and a masters in organizational development from Upper Iowa University.
